Mine kvass got pushed to the back of the icebox where it's been for a good couple of months. I thought I remember 6 mo. or so. Anybody? Also, if it did go "bad" how would it manifest it's "badness."<br><br>
2ndly, I got water kefir grains in the mail yesterday which we failed to check because it's snowy and icy ... they're defrosting on my counter now, are they ruined?<br><br>
It's naptime and I don't have much time or I'd try to find these answers myself, thanks, ya'll!!

I bet they're fine, but they'll likely take some time to get going.

when they unthaw just put them in some fresh water and they will be fine. may take a couple batches to get going good, but they are fine. you can actually freeze some to have as back up if you want too
