I know I should be happy that I don't have much to lose, but I would like to lose the last bit. After all of the uterus/stomach shrinking and the water loss, etc. I still have 10 lbs. to lose from this baby. Abby is 3 months old now and I am BFing.

Admittedly I am not exercizing (no time) and I am not eating the greatest. I have heard conflicting views--some say it is easy to lose weight while BFing others say you have to wait until you are done.

How long does it normally take to lose all of the weight?

I think it varies from person to person! Some women's bodies hold onto the last few pounds as "insurance" during nursing, while other women have great sucess losing weight during breastfeeding.

Try taking walks with your baby & being a little careful about what you're eating. Maybe even more water. You might surprise yourself.

(with both of my pregnancies I've been down to my prepreg weight by 6w pp.... but I started w/a lot of weight to lose, so don't envy me, LOL).

4 months with the first dd, 2 years with the second dd, and 13 months with ds. After dd#1 was born I immediatley started excersizing and eating properly. After dd#2 was born I did not and I gained a ton of wieght. Once I started eating right and excersizing it came off within months. With ds I started eating healthier and excersizing within weeks of delivery. Nothing, nadda, nil. After 6 months I gave up. When ds was 13 months I started eating well, a month after that I started excersizing and now I'm down 20lbs and back to pre-pg weight, and I'm starting in on the last 20lbs that has always hung around.

It totally depends on your eating and excersizing habits, AND your body.
