I'm asking about water kefir and milk kefir. I'm really not so good at the sniff-and-tell test and Mr Toona doens't like the smell of any kefir, so any rough guidelines?
am new to milk kefir but seem to have read that 2 to 3 days in the fridge after the grains have been taken away is the maximum amount of time for drinking it.
It is cultured milk. I have consumed kefir which was probably a month or older. If it is raw milk kefir, then it should be fine I would think and if it was truly bad, you would know with your nose even if you aren't good and being able to tell, you WILL KNOW!
