I'm trying to figure out how many wipes to buy and I'm not sure if I should base it on how many wipes I used with disposable wipes or if it would be different. With sposies, I used 1 for pee and anywhere from 3-5 for poop (he is a very mushy, messy pooper). Would I need the same amount for cloth wipes?

With cloth I normally use one for pee (or none!) and 2-3 for poo.

I have two wet ones ready at each change. Rarely do I need more.

If hes just wet, I'll use one, though that one may just get re-wetted multiple times... if its poopy at least 2-3, sometimes 4

i got a free sample wipe with a recent diaper order. it is the most luxurious diaper wipe i have ever felt- a bamboo velour. love it. not cheap though, but i'm considering buying a few. :)

Unless it's a seriously messy blowout, but that happens rarely with my DS

I skip every couple changes or so when it is just pee. For poo I usually only need one. I noticed though a dry wipe is pretty good at grabbing the messy poops and then you can use a wet one to freshen up.

none or 1 for pees, 1-2 for poops. Usually if he's poopy I will wet 2 wipes and if I only need one for his bottom I wash his hands and face with the other clean one. I have 50 Kissaluvs wipes for 2 kids and even that seems like too much.

Mostly one to two like everyone else. Unless it's a monster poo. WAY less than sposie wipes.

I have 50 Kissaluvs wipes and I like having that many because of wash days - I am never out. However, I got them from the outlet, so it was only $25 for the lot. Not sure if I would have spent $50 on wipes.

Usually just 1 unless it's a particularly bad poop. I got some good double sided ones (flannel on one side some with velour and some with terry on the other side). I ordered 30 and paid 70 cents per wipe. Love them!

Usually just one - and I don't always use one when its just pee. But I can usually use both sides for a big poop, sometimes I need two.

1 or sometimes none for a wet diaper, 2-4 for a poopy dipe depending on how messy it is.

I usually only need one for pee or poop. I use gerber baby washcloths and fold in fourths, si I can us one side and fold it back and use the other. I like a pp's suggestion of two wipes and using a second for washing hands and face. I think I'll start doing that.

Usually just one or two.

Except for those other times..... then, a whole pile of wipes just isn't enough and I wipe off what I can and pop him into the sink!

I think it's about the same as with disposable wipes, then again I have pretty small wipes (4x4). I find myself being much more liberal about the number I use compared to disposables, so maybe I would use less?

The bulk of my wipes are an old flannel sheet surged at the edges.

I don't wipe for pee, but need anywhere from 3-5 for poop. It really depends how much your kid poops, and have often you are going to wash.

With our 10 wk old I use 1 most of the time. His poops are getting messy enough to need 2 wipes sometimes though.

most of the time 2 for poops , but sometimes i have needed more .. i notice if i prewet them instead of using the spray bottle and dry wipes i use less .. so i started to make prewet and have the spray bottle and dry for less messy poops and pees as needed i love cloth wipes .. i have alot but will have 2 in dipes soon so that is my reasoning .. i guess cause they are cheaper to buy than dipes i love collecting them .. i have a fave WAHM on another board who makes great ones .. we have alot of hers and jollybums .. i say you can never have too many awesome cloth wipes
