For you mamas that went overdue with your second child, how many days overdue did you go?
And...was it longer than your first child?
Just curious because today is my 9th day "overdue" with #2, and #1 was born on the 9th day overdue. I've heard that it is pretty normal to go less days overdue with #2...am I odd?
I just had my baby last Sunday at 42 weeks. My first was induced right about when she was due so I don't know how long I would have gone with that pregnancy if I hadn't been induced.
Ds1 was 41 weks, 6 days. Ds2 was 41 weeks, 5 days.
Next time, I'm just going to figure out when 42 weeks is, and tell everyone that's my due date.
BTW, ds2 was only 40 weeks based on the newborn exam... absolutely no signs of being post dates. And I was charting, so I know my exact ovulation date. Apparently, my babies.. at least boy babies... need a little more time to bake!
DD1 was 8 days early
DS1 was 10 days early
DD2 was 7 days early
DD3 was 1 day late
DD4 was 12 days+ late (her EDD was always up in the air)
DS2 was 17 days early
I always heard to that the more babes you have, they're supposed to come earlier. Clearly it didn't work out for me that way. I think it's actually kind of wierd how one mother can have so many differences in the delivery dates.
My first was 16 days over and second was 5 days over (both non-induced homebirths). Both due dates were based on ovulation and by looking at their placentas and lack of vernix, the dates seemed about right.
