How many diapers am I going to need for a four day trip? We're going to my parents and I'll be able to do laundry, but we'll be pretty busy so I don't want to have to do a lot of laundry.

This is what I'm thinking of bringing, when we're at home we'll use the fitteds, but when visiting and running errands we'll use the aio's:

3 wonderoos for night
7 fitteds
2 BBH aios
2 VB aios
2 knickernappie pockets
1 WB cover
1 fleece cover
1 pair knitted pants

do you think that's good or should I bring more fitteds and covers or my b-team aio's?

i would take more than that or you may be washing every day. if i counted correctly, you have 16 diapers. i use *at least* 12 diapers a day. that's a minimum for me. of course, your baby is older so you may use less. when i travel, i take 2 days worth so i can do dipes every other day. actually, i take more cause i can never decide what to take so i just throw a bunch in a clothes basket and toss it in my trunk. i'd say, pack a few more. or maybe just some prefolds. and probably another cover, too. what the heck.....just take your entire stash!

I would take enough so that you only have to wash every other day (or however many you would need to wash however often you really want to wash)

Really with traveling it's no different than when you are at home.

That wouldn't last me a day - so I'd vote for more !

We have about 18 diapers total, so we take them all when we travel. Even the dirty ones in the pail, which we just wash when we get to our destination. We have too few to leave any behind.

do you have a pile of PF you could throw in, just to kind of filll in the gaps if you run out or something? i always bring 18 or so fitted plus 12-24 PF plus a few covers when i go on a trip. that lets me wash every 2-3 days

good points, I should probably bring more. I have a couple other aio's and I'll throw in some more fitteds. Unfortunately I'm prefold challenged, so I use them only to stuff my wonderoos. we're a little challenged for room in the car, so I'm trying to find what the 'perfect' amount of dipaers will be...

and the pail liner, don't let me forget the pail liner and my little wet bag.

I always pack at least a dozen more than I think we'll need. We had a stomach virus one weekend at the cabin (no washer) and needed to go into town and do laundry to get us through... : Never again! So even for the weekend, I pack at least 50 diapers! I always make sure that I have 2 dozen prefolds in addition to the fitteds as my backup diapers

Really, I'd take your whole stash. That's what I do. (mind you I really don't have the most expansive stash, believe it or not)
