well - i can only go by what i did... i used my crock pot and a mix of wilton's dye and kool-aid added at different times. i did 1 35" and 2 of the 11" square silks. When i did the red, i used a couple of knife tips of red, plus 2 packates of cheery and 1 black cherry.<br><br>
So... i would say depending on the color you want - 2-3 packets for just the 1 35" silk<br>

i used plain old food coloring and vinegar on the stove top. i followed the instructions for the 'icing color' colors. you can see them on my blog below. they've been machine washed in hot and dried, and are colorfast.
