I bought two pea plants but I am wondering if I need more. We are a family of 3 1/2. How much can you get off a plant?

What variety? Some are little bush plants, some grow 24-30", some grow 6 feet+ tall.

You can probably get enough off each plant to throw into a salad. It takes a ton of pea plants to start getting enough, especially ripe at the same time, for a dinner. I had two 8-foot rows of Alderman Tall Telephone peas last year, and got enough shelled peas for two dinners. *sigh* Then the weather got too hot. Grrr.

Lots. I usually grow about 20 of the ones you shell and never get enough for more than 1 meal.

I just plant them for something to eat while in the garden.
