Right now we are going coverless around the house and using soakers for naps, nighttime, and trips to town. At the moment, I have three, but I'm thinking that is not enough.

Case in point: last night, we used a soaker and it is drying because it was damp this morning. So when we go to town, I can't plan on using it. Now Ben is taking his morning nap, so that soaker will be damp when he wakes up (probably) so I won't be able to use it. That leaves us with one soaker for town, and I'd like to have two.

So, those of you who are using wool exclusively, how many soakers/covers do you think you need?

"Need" is so hard to define. I have 3 wool covers that I rotate through (no soakers, but one on the way!) and I could easily use 2 more. 5 is my perfect number at the moment, but I could definatly see needing 6 or 7 at some point.

Hmmmm i think if that's your only diaper cover type, you need at LEAST six. If one gets poopy while one is damp and one is drying from being washed, and you want to go out for the day and one is missing, you want to have 2 to grab and put in your bag, IMO. Of course, for me, I like to have many, many woolies, and many wool covers too. I am all about the wool love, though.
