I finally purchased a 2.2liter bottle and have been able to drink a gallon aday. When i work out i go through an added 2.2L while out the gym.<br><br>
I would like to drink up to at least 2 gallons a day. With DS1 i wasnt consious enough about it and got braxton hixs LOTS and realized i was dehydrating.<br><br>

same with me starlein26. i am constantly thirsty and am therefore constantly drinking water, juice, milk, herbal tea or lemonade. but, it's mostly water. it's like i can't get enough

I have constant thirst and it's hard to quench. I've got a new Sigg bottle on the way & I plan on having it with me all the time.

Mw had always said if I WAS thirsty then I was already dehydrated?.<br><br>
However, now like most when im consciously drinking ALL DAY i tend to not get the thirsty feeling!<br><br><br>

i'm lovin' the lemonade these days. every now and then i switch it up with some limeade, which is tasty too!!<br><br>
my big thing lately is to search out new things to drink. i was always a beer drinker until now; so, i'm having to explore a little bit. the farmer's market in my area sells a yummy sparkling fruit juice. right now the brand name escapes me, but it comes in lots of different flavors. tart is one of my favorite flavors, and i tend to grab the cranberry or raspberry.<br><br>

I read on this borad somewhere that Nalgene bottles are not all safe as far as plastics go....some of them do leech the icky chemicals we're supposed to keep away from our kids. It doesn't harm us (So they say) but I presume if it is harmul to kids it can be harmul to one in utero...just a thought.

I drink a liter at work and then probably have 3-4 glasses before I go to bed at night. I have a ridiculously small bladder though and pee usually every 30-45 minutes and get up 3 times (at least) during the night. I don't think I could handle anymore than that.

Welllll I dont think I have made it to 2 gallons yet <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/lol.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="lol"> However living in florida its not that hard to do. It was about 97 or so degrees today UGH!<br><br>
I use a plastic type nagalene bottle ( forget the brand) and i know they say there are safer alternative however i think its safer then a regular water bottle from walmart And i was carring around glass but that was getting a little sketchy. It was also the only bottle i could find ( wild oats) that is a 2.2 liter.<br>
I will usually have 2.2 liters done by the late afternoon and then almost a second by late evening. Now when I go to the gym I easily put down the whole 2.2 liters.<br><br>
OOOOH you know what else I like to drink ( Kai too) is I will do a little selzer water with 100% juice it makes a reallllllly good sparkling juice. AND Kai thinks its soda <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/lol.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="lol"><br><br>

yeah, i had heard about the plastic bottles not being safe too, and it gave me a little scare a while back. so, i keep my nalgene pretty darn clean by disinfecting it regularly and when it gets old i just get a new one.<br><br>
sometimes it seems like nothing is safe!

I drink around 3-4 liters I would say...that's about 1 gallon. (On hot days it's more though...)

I started to get rid of all my plastic and teflon in the last few months. Our local health food stores now carry these great stainless steel water bottles that are amazing, not only do I no longer have to worry about leaching but they really keep my water cold during the day. The only downside is they are not huge so I usually carry two if I am out doing errands. There are only 3 kinds of "safe plastic", meaning they leach the least, they are #5 pp, #2 HDPE, and #4 LDPE. Nalgene bottles are #7. I do have 1 left that I am no longer putting in the dishwasher (that is where they break down the most). Although I think it will be in the recycling bid soon!

I drink about a gallon of water a day and the weird thing is...I've always judged my hydration level on the color of my urine but it is always yellow. Is it the prenatals making it yellow or do I really need more water?
