It turns out that when you're smack in the middle of miscarrying, that "what to expect" sticky is daunting...

I had a D&C Thursday. I was thinking that once "the physical part is over," I'd feel a lot safer, and could relax.

But not hardly. Now, I just want the bleeding to stop. How long does it take? And after that, any idea when AF will come? (Anything else I need to know about these next weeks?)

I did have a D&C last year, but I was out of my head. I don't remember much.

Thanks girls.

Usually two weeks, then it will be another four before Af will show. then you can start timing your cycle.
it is never easy. I ahve been thinking about you and hoping you get the baby you so much deserve.

Thanks Zona. (Hi.)

Four weeks sounds good. But two? Seriously? That feels like forever. I so want this over, but then again, maybe my emotions need some time to come to grips with what's happening.

Blah blah blah... I guess it'll get lighter soon? I've got more than a heavy period now.

I bleed for a little over a week after my d&c. AF came about 5 wks later. I'm so sorry, mama. You've really had a tough road. Definitely take it easy in the next few wks. I found that my bleeding had almost stopped but then got heavier when I started doing too much, lifting my dd, etc.

My experience was very similar to jmo's.

Looks like I have atleast another week. Hmph. I'll be careful about moving much. I have noticed I get sore when I move. Thanks.

By the way, I'm venturing out to worship this morning. In the last 8 days, in our church of 350, there've been 4 newborns. HELLO?! Truth is, more than anything, I hope we don't get looked over in the flurry of how cute all the living ones are. The 3 of us matter.
