Hello, I'm new here and have a question. My dd is 2 months old and I have just returned to work
. I have been EBFing but now that she is in daycare I was wondering how much bm should she eat from a bottle? She is there for about 9 hours. TIA

My Lo at 2 months was eating about 4oz every 3 hours. He is breastfed and sometimes I would have to pump and get my husband to feed him. I only gave him the bottle once and a while and 4oz is all that is available until I came home to feed him (for the one feeding I am away).

I guess it depends on how often your LO is eating.

Heyla mama!

Congratulations on your little one and good luck with your job...working outside the home and mothering can make for a tough combination, but hang in there!

The Kellymom Breastfeeding site has a lot of wonderful information about pumping and keeping your supply strong while working away from your little one. The site also has an "expressed milk calcultor" that can help you figure out how many bottles your babe might need. Every babe is different, and you'll want to keep an eye on how they are growing and how you are feeling, but you might be surprised at how quickly both of you can adapt to a new (work based) schedule.

You can find the calculator at http://www.kellymom.com/bf/pumping/milkcalc.html and general working/pumping information at http://www.kellymom.com/bf/pumping/b...s-pumping.html

good luck!
