I'm trying REALLY hard not to gain a lot because I started out about 30 pounds heavy...I've gained 5 pounds so far. I'm eating really healthy (a la South Beach diet w/ some extras). I can't exercise because of my back, so I'm trying to limit the weight gain w/ diet alone. I eat enough, but not too much- and so far it seems to be working!
I'm the one "gained 0 or lost" vote. Still down about 18lbs. My MW says my metabolism is likely weird because of my gall bladder and I probably won't gain any weight with this pregnancy. I'm technically obese anyway, so not a big deal.

Don't ya just love the lecture
: I got it too about a month ago, but dagnabit, I have 2 babies in there. So I ignored him and have gained the 24lbs by24w
I saw him today and he was pleased with my weight. so who knows.
I think I have gained close to 20 lbs so far. I started out a little underweight and people were telling me I probably wouldn't gain much (I guess sometimes you gain more, though, if you start out lower?)... My mom told me that with me, she gained 20 lbs total--I'm pretty much there, with 15 weeks left! Most of it seems to be concentrated in my belly, but I've definitely noticed changes in my thighs, butt, and chest. I'm shocked that I've gained as much as I have because I could barely keep anything down for the first four months and my appetite now seems pretty normal... but the pounds keep adding on!
3 little monkeys, I was just reading in Sheila Kitzinger's book that generally , 50% of your total weight gain occurs in weeks 20-30 (25% prior and 25% after that). So right now is when you should be gaining the most weight! Poopy on the OB. If you're hungry, eat! I'd like to see him wake up in the middle of the night starving and not do anything about it.
I lost 15ish lbs in the beginning and I've gained back 1 or 2, so I'm still down 13-14ish. I'm not that worried, because I had extra weight to begin with, but it is nice to finally be gaining (however slowly) because it shows that I'm actually retaining some nutrients.
I have gained 14 lbs and I am very proud of that. I gained 60 lbs with my daughter and that was WAY too much considering I started 20 lbs over weight. This time I started out 30 lbs overweight (STILL hadn't lost all my pregnancy weight from Olivia) so I am glad I am not gaining a lot. I am hoping not to gain more than 30 lbs total.
I've gained around 25 # so far although I don't step on the scales often. I was a little worried about the gain but my widwife told me not to worry because our bodies store fat for a reason - breastfeeding
I started out pp at regular weight, eat pretty well and exercise. It's interesting I'm packing on the # because I'm carrying small and people don't realize I've gained much. Where's it going?....I think I've equally gained it in my bust and butt besides my stomach...
