I'm just curious. I've always heard that the slower you lose, the more likely you are to keep it off, but not what is "too much, too fast".

Also, is it true that usually the weight comes off really fast for the first week or so (water weight, maybe?), then settles into a slower loss? I'm feeling pretty clueless right now.

I remember last time I lost a lot of weight (over the course of many months) I often felt a bit dizzy in the mornings. I'm not sure if that has to do with weight loss or is unrelated. I try not to eat after supper, but drink plenty of water, so maybe that's related? I'm feeling kind of queasy right now and haven't felt right all day, but I think I might be getting a cold or having allergy issues (there was some sneezing and sniffling going on). I don't really feel "about to fall down" dizzy like I remember from before, though. Of course I've only been losing for about a week.

Thanks for reading my ramblings, hope they made sense!

I've heard that 1 - 2 lbs per week is safe.

and yes I also heard that the first weeks may be more b/c of the water. I think maybe also, the more overweight you are, the more that may come off quickly....but I'm not sure about that.

Good luck!
