We change diapers on average about 1 1/2-3 hours apart during the day, whenever they are wet. I think its pretty common to change frequently, and many moms do so on purpose just so the babies bums arent sitting in wetness.

I change as needed, could be every 15 minutes if he is drinking lots, could be 3-4 hours or more-I just change as soon as I notice it is wet. Ds is 22 months, so usually, it is 2-3 hours between pees, but somedays OY! he goes alot LOL. Lots of times I change him even when dry if he has been in the same diaper for very long-I like to look at my pretty diapers LOL.
You should change a baby every 2 hours or when wet I think sposies suggest every 4 hours. I usually change my ds every 2-3 hours, but I've been bad and left him in a FB for a lot longer : When we go up to my mothers to visit, she gives him lots of juice and kolaid, so he gets changed every hour or less I have a friend who works at a daycare and they change babies every two hours

I change when the dipe is wet or stinky. It could be every 2 hours. It could be within 5 minutes of putting it on (ds loves to poop in a clean dipe).

I think that's about normal even for sposies. I change Stella as soon as I can tell she is wet but if she is dry I let her stay in whatever diaper until it's wet, KWIM? I don't specifically change every 2 hours unless she is wet.

If we are out and about I might put her in a pocket diaper and then stretch it it 2-3 hours. She's not one to complain about being wet so I have to monitor. If we are at home and doing nothing she gets changed probably about once an hour... sometimes I'm just bored though, lol.

Yeah, I'm with Sheena on the whole change 'um when they're wet plan! My guy is not a heavy wetter which means he pees a little very frequently. I change him about every 45 minutes. We usually go coverless when we are at home, so I can tell when he has gone. I'm hoping this will make potty training a breeze.

I change every 2 hours unless she is sleeping. Also about a half hour after she nurses, she seems to get most the pee out within that first half hour.

We change as soon as we realize he's wet or poop'd (you can hear the poops so those are particularly quick changes ).

He's coverless at home lots of the time, so we can tell when he's wet pretty quick. Plus, he hates being wet. Even with fleece liners, he'll usually cry quickly within wetting. And we change him.

I also try to do pockets or AIOs when out to stretch it out a little if I can. But if he cries we immediately check that and then see if he's hungry. Usually he cries for one of those 2 reasons. (of course he's only 2.5mo so that probably makes a difference).

We used ReUzm's for a while when I first started cd'ing. I didn't find that they were as absorbant as the diapers I use now. They tend to feel really wet when they are wet. KWIM My little one is always wet. :LOL He pees every hour, and he is a super soaker! So I usually change him about every 1.5 hours or less if he needs it. But...I found that it was the same when he was in disposables too. You might like to try some Fuzzi Bunz. They are super trim and keeps them dry longer. They are the only diaper we can use overnight and not have to change. You don't need a cover with them, they are mostly AIOs, you just have to stuff the pocket, and even with 3 joey bunz they are still super trim.

Yep we change every time DS is wet too - at home it's easy to tell because he goes coverless. It's like every 20 minutes in the morning but the rest of the day it's every hour or so. When we are out and about it's harder to tell under his cover but we change every 1-2 hours. 2 hours is probably a max for our dipes. So your system sounds pretty normal!

I change the twins whenever they are wet. They are also not really heavy wetters, but are VERY frequent wetters!
So, even with several dozen diapers I sometimes have a load and a half just from one day! It depends on how much water they drink. And since it is SO hot down here- they drink all day long!

I change when wet, no matter if it is a light or heavy pee. We go cover less too, so I know right away. But usually now she takes off her panties and pees on the floor

Now if we are out and about I put her in a fitted with a doubler and a wool cover/soaker. I try to feel and see when/if she needs to be changed, but I admit, she'll stay in a wet diaper longer than I like at the park or store, etc.

the reuzms might be your problem. I had 3 newborn reuzms (aio) and my 2 week old son could make them wet in an hour. All the way through, even w/ the terry/flannel doubler.
I don't use those anymore at all. the same w/ prints, they wick after a short amount of time. I have the BEST luck w/ my solid pocket dipe...never a wick/leak

As soon as possible after he's wet or dirty.

Could be as soon as his feet hit the floor after the last change, could be 3 or 4 hours from then.

We go coverless at home, so it's easy to know - but if we're out I check him at least every hour or so.

I just can't stand the thought of him in a wet or dirty diaper for even 1 minute longer than is absolutely needed - yuck.

We're coverless most of the time during the day,also...so whenever he's wet. Usually, its every hour and a half or so. Lately, he pees as soon as I get a new dipe on him, so it seems like every 5 minutes lol.
