Wash them when they get poop on them, or once every 4 weeks if they haven't gotten poop on them.

I haven't washed my woolies in weeks!

Thats one of the best things about wool - less wash


But, alas, if a cover gets stained it does need to be washed ASAP.

Maybe I am washing my wool too often - I tend to do it every week or two. Just smells fresher to me. Plus, the covers tend to get stretched out and washing helps reshape them. I guess it is all personal preference.
