After both kids my af came back very regularly right from the first month. I've always been very regular, though. I think it depends on your body.

Are you waiting for your first ppaf?

No, I had one in January that was really light and only last a couple of days. Then I had a normal one in April and another in May. Then I had another really short, light one last week. My son is 19 months old now. He's my third baby, and I don't remember my periods being so weird after my daughters were born. Maybe I'm just getting old.
Mine were weird. I had one at 3m PP and not another until 5. Then they came ever 3-8 weeks. I took so many pg tests.
Mine were pretty regular, though I did have one freak short cycle within the first 6 months of AF returning. Before and after that, they were just like they were pre-pg, and I was nursing the whole time.
With my first- they came back at about 10 mos pp- but were about 60 days apart until she was over 18 mos, then became more normal. With my second, they started again at 10 mos, but seem to be clock work this time.
