Ds is 24" long and 15#, 7 1/2 weeks. Will an Ergo work? (Without infant insert.)
It almost seems like it'll be too wide, but I can't tell from the website. They only show a tiny newborn or a big toddler.

with a baby that small, for sure. I don't think you can start using it w/o an infant insert until around 3 months of age... at 7 wks, your baby will just be slouched in the carrier, he really doesn't have the upper body support to hold himself up in that carrier.

He's really strong, hardly needs his head held at all, unless falling asleep.

I'm more worried about the width of the carrier being to much for his legs.
I'm thinking maybe just wait, it doesn't seem worth the extra $ for an insert we'd only need briefly.

So how old usually for Ergo without insert?
