i know ds isn't going to be a giant but i'm curious as to how tall your child is and wht age.<br><br>
How tall are you, dh, and you toddler<br><br>
Me: 5'0"<br>
Dh: 5'8"<br>
Ds: 29.5 inches (21.5 inches at birth.....)<br><br>
They say to double your height at 2 and that is how tall you will be...it was right for me, dh, my sister, and some of our friends...all of us are very different in height! I'm hoping ds will be at least as tall as me....

i don't know if that will hold true for my dd....she just turned two and is 35 1/2 inches. that would make her just under 6 feet, that's taller than both dh and i.....although our mailman is about 6' 4...... :LOL<br><br>
i'm 67 inches<br>
dh is 70 inches<br>
dd is 35.5 at 2 years

i think you double the height at 2 years for boys and 18 months for girls.<br><br>
dh is 6'3''<br>
i'm 5'4''<br>
dd is 33 or 34 inches tall at almost 2 years. (less than 2 weeks til the birthday!)<br><br>
i would be delighted if she ended up 5'6'' to 5'8'' but i think she'll be closer to my size.<br><br>
and i know the doubling at 2 thing wouldn't have worked for my dh or his brother. both of them had major late growth spurts. my dh grew 9 inches the summer he was 13. he slept the entire summer and his grandparents were like "WTH is wrong with that boy?" and then when he went to put his jeans on at the end of the summer to go home, lo and behold they were like doll pants on him!

My dd was almost 32 inches when she turned two. That would estimate out to 5'4"<br><br>
I'm 5'7<br>
dh is 5'9<br><br>
But dh's sister is about 5'4 and my sister is 5'3, and his mom is also short as my mother's birth mother is about 5 feet tall.<br><br>
My ds isn't 2 yet.

Our little guy is just over 30 pounds.<br><br>
He's always been a good eater. right now he's finishing up his breakfast of whole grain Oatios and soy yogurt. last night it was his usual of lentils and rice with fresh celery and carrot sticks on the side.<br><br>
I never expected to have such a big little guy.

My son eats non-stop he jsut doesn't put on weight! He was 15 pounds by about 3 months old, his last ped visit. And in January at 9 months was about 23 pounds. He got that horrid stomach flu and puked for 6 days. He dropped to about 18 pounds and just hasn't bounced back in weight.<br><br>
He is so full of energy and I think he has dh's metabolism..which never sleeps!<br><br>
I did the height calc.....it said ds would be 5'6" which would be fine with me! I would jsut rather he be as tall or a little taller than I am....

My ped said this can be somewhat true as long as the child is not overly stressed due to illness, etc. at some point in their life, esp. puberty. I am 5'4" and dh is 5'11". Dd was projected to be between 5'8" and 5'10". I was supposed to be taller than I am but my dad forced me to be a world class long distance runner through ages 9-21 so my bone growth plates closed early.<br><br>
My dd is currently 33 mos. old, 28 pounds, and 37.5 inches tall. It's funny to think that someday this little girl will be taller than I am!<br><br>

DD: 44" and 42 pounds she turned 4 in June<br>
DS: 37 1/4" and 35 pounds he turned 2 in February<br><br>
DS just had a big growth spurt - he's grown as much in the past 6 months as DD has grown in a year!<br><br>
My family is pretty tall, DH's dad is tall, his mom is really short, his brother was tall like his dad. DD is long and lean, when DS was born he was 1" shorter than DD at birth, and 1 pound heavier!<br><br>

My son was 3 foot 2 at age 2, so he will probably be 6'4 like daddy. I used to be 5'8, but now I am apparently 5'6 (last doctor's visit), so I will probably be 3'2" when he is 6'4". Hopefully it is just a mismeasurement. The nurse who measured me didn't blink an eye when I said, "Hey, I have been 5'8" since 8th grade - what's up?" She just told me to get undressed, as if all 32 year olds are shrinking two inches a year!<br><br>
Anyway, I thought that was wierd.<br>

He was 37" when he turned 2 and is 26 months now. The double at two thing would put him at around 6' and I just don't see it happening. Dh was a really tall kid and basically stopped growing at 11 years old.

WOW! There are some big kids out there! Not in a bad way but I feel like ds is huge! Probably more because he is growing up than his actual size.... but compared to the descriptions here and other babes born with a month both ways of him...he is rather petite... he is still wearing a lot of the same clothes that he wore LAST winter! I told dh that I'm anticipating a growth spurt at any time and if that happens we'll need all new clothes for him! I jsut have a feeling it will all happen at once and not slowly...kwim?

just a funny insite my husband and his 3 best friends were all the same height in 3rd grade... now at 29 they range from 5' 1" to 6'10 "<br><br>
that being said my dd was 21 3/4, 8lbs 2oz inches when she was born... she's had a number of surgeries which the ped said has impeded her growth... just the stress of the surgery not the nature of it. now at nearly 15 mo she is 27 inches tall and 20 lbs. so she's sorta tall for her age but underweight... and that web site link put her a 5 ft 3/4 in as an adult

Dd: 36 inches (4 years old)<br>
Ds: 34 inches (2 years old)<br><br>
We come from a family of short people. So, I don't expect my kids to be too tall.<br><br>
My dd was born full term weighing 5 pounds 12 ounces and 18 5/8 inches. At 2 years, she was 32 inches and 22 pounds. At 3 years she was 35 inches and 24 pounds. At 4 years she was 36 inches and 30 pounds. She's gonna be a little one, but she's cute! She is finally outgrowing her 2T clothes but some 3T pants are still pretty long on her. She wears a size 7.5 shoe.<br><br>
My ds was born full term weighing 8 pounds 9 ounces and 20 3/4 inches. At almost 2 years, he weighs 28 pounds and is 34 inches. He's already in 2T clothes and has been for almost a year now. It's too bad he's not a girl, I could have a double wardrobe! LOL! Ds wears a size 7 shoe.<br><br>

My lil' guy looks like he's going to be short and chubby... just like me. Though I'm still holding out some hope for him, lol. He'll be 3 in 2mos. and weighs aprox. 35lbs. and is aprox. 35in. tall. Most of his little friends are at least 6mos. younger than him and most are taller than him.<br>
I really want for him to hit a growth spurt before he hits 40lbs. because of the carseat/booster issue. Also, I want some of his clothes that people give him to actually fit, and not be too long, lol.<br><br>
Oh, I'm 5'1" and my dh is 5'10"... I was hoping he'd get some of my dh's height but so far no luck.
