I've done it with wool... same instructions?<br><br>
How long do I microwave it for? How many packets for a 30x30 playsilk?<br><br>
HELP!<br><br>

Pretty much the same I think. I use 3 packets for 30x30. 1 for 11x11, 2 for 20x20, you get the picture.<br><br>
If I use the microwave, I zap it for 2 min, flip the bag around or stir, then zap again for 2 minutes. I find it hard to get a even dye job on silks in the microwave, but this is good for a crinkle effect.<br><br>
I find the stovetop to be just as easy if not easier. I just heat water, add kool aid, stir, add silk, and stir until it is the color I want. It is so much easier to control color intensity and I can add more silks if I want or modify the color a bit.<br><br>

I went ahead and did one 21.5x21.5 already. I tyed it into the bullseye effect tye and then dyed the alternating sections red and orange with a syringe. Nuked it for 2 mins, rest for two, nuked for two and then let it sit. It came out REALLY REALLY cool! I'll have to post pics.<br><br>
Off to the store for lots more kool aid colors tonight! I have 4 more 21.5 and 2 30x30!<br><br>
