We are facing a huge loss of income within the next 2 weeks or so. We have an EF of 9k, but we are looking at needing most of that to cover a debt {school} so not really counting on it.

What can I cut to make this work? Getting another job IS NOT an option - I am idsabled and my Daughter has severe food allergies - The ONLY daycare in town that will take her is $800 a WEEK!:Q So I'd defintely be losing money there. I do sell some on ebay from time to time {when I find thigns to sell} and that income is not listed here.

Is it just you and your DD or can someone else get a second job?

Are you eligible for any more aid? (food stamps, etc)

I only cut $88. It looks like a sucky place to be. Either you are going to have to get a job (maybe watch kids under the table, do some secret shopping, etc) or your dp is going to need to get a second job. ON the daycare front, my dd is NOT in daycare - dp watches her during the day, and I watch her at night. Just an idea.

good luck

The only things that seems off is the electricity, it seems awfully high. Do you line dry, wear sweater, hats, slipper in the winter and use fans during the summer? Also do you cook from scratch, meal plan, grow veggies? The grocery bill is the other high thing. That's all I can think of maybe try more sidework?

Just myself, DD, and my mother. Mom is already on SSI {so no 2nd job for her}, and my application is in the works. I'm told mine may take up to 3 years to go through though.

We already get FS {thats the 2nd listed}. I qualify for TANF, but I'm trying to not use it unless I 200% have to, as in my state I only qualify for 1 year - in my lifetime thanks to my education. I am 2 semesters away from a bachelors degree, but had to quit due to my health and DD's medical issues.

internet is needed - like I said I also sell on ebay & I can't do that without internet. Public library here does not allow access to ebay at all.

Most of the general {non-food} goes for items I get free/nearly free with coupons, then resell at my yard sale for profit. This pays the taxes on my home.

DD is allergic to a list of foods a page long. Budget is high due to the cost of food being so high here. I pound of beans is nearly $2 at my local grocery, for plain old non-organic beans! We tried going to everything homemade a while back, and it was actually more expensive, for us. I can't grow things very well due to a bad back yard, and being in a wheelchair {doesn't mesh with gardening well for me - I've tried}

I'm hoping to get electric that low - we normally run about $250-ish a month. We don't line-dry {again - doesn't work for us}, but do everything else listed.

Could you buy some of your groceries online at Amazon? They've got beans for cheaper than you're paying, and they ship free (this link is to 40 pounds worth of beans):

http://www.amazon.com/Fiesta-Pinto-B...5815233&sr=8-1

The only other things I can think of are maybe take on some babysitting at your home, and the electricity. Can you turn your water heater off except for 1/2 a day every other day (for showers?). We did that once and it cut our electricity bill by quite a bit. It might be worth identifying exactly where all the electricity is going just to see if you can do anything more about it.

When will you be able to get a job? Finish your degree? I would say if this is a temporary situation then it's doable (with the help of your EF).

Is your disability permanent? Do you have employment options with it? Could you have someone care for your DD in home (lessthan $800!).

I know a little bit about your situation. Your mom needs to go to court and get temporary alimony/maintenance set up. The court should have a facilitator there that will help her walk through the process. If she is scared then she can get a restraining order too.

What about child support for your daughter?

right now it's not looking like I can get a job at all - my disability is actually worsening to the point to where on some days I can't even take care of DD without help.

I am working on selling more items on ebay as a business {that's something I can do}, and last month that did bring in $350 or so.

Child support for my DD is out - I refuse to file because her father is crazy {and I'm not kidding} and right now he doesn't know where we are at all - so he can't kidnap her or try to harm her. So that is out 100%

I will talk to my mom about filing for alimony.

I guess you knit the sweaters? Could you knit diaper covers as well or instead? Wool ones seem to go fast and at good prices.

Could you rent a room? Are you part of a church community? Often people will help others a lot if they just know what you need.
