Hi everyone. I am knitting up some mittens for DH out of some wool I had in my stash. It's handspun, pretty scratchy, has the occasional small bit of plant matter in it, etc. Is there some kind of wool wash or something I can use on the mittens to soften them up a bit? I don't think DH would mind them as they are (he wears a hat made out of the same stuff all the time) but they just seem like they'd be much more comfortable if they weren't quite so scratchy.<br>
Thanks!

you can trying soaking it in conditioner (yarn=hair, lol), but there's only just so much you can do if the quality of the fiber isn't there.
