I would vote fleece pants too or longies with a tighter knit. I have alot of knit longies and some are more tightly knit than others. I have pair that are knit from Peace Fleece and have a very tight knit and are thick and sturdy, when it's cold out I pick those every time. I can't imagine not being warm in them.

Do you have any wool fabric pants? Those would be really warm too without any holes for the wind to get through.
