I hope better than mine.

My dh had a horrible stomach virus/food poisoning that hit in early morning hours of Christmas eve day and he is just now able to function.

So, I had to take care of my two children, visiting relatives, put together all the playmobil toys, a tricycle, wrap all gifts, etc. all by myself. In addition to cooking 3 meals a day by myself for two straight days, entertaining guests....it was really exhausting and I missed my dh being there

On the bright side, I learned that I can put together all kinds of stuff by myself and am pretty handy with tools

It was great seeing my children come down the stairs to the Christmas tree with all the gifts under it--their eyes wide with excitement...

How was your day? Did you get any baby gifts, maternity clothes? I got two great maternity tops but nothing for the baby which kind of bummed me out. I guess that's how it goes when your pg with your third.

For my sister-in-law's baby shower, we had everyone bring a book and inscribe something to the baby on the inside cover. I gave her The Hungry Hungry Caterpillar, by Eric Carle, which is one of my all time favorites.

Well, for Christmas, she found a fleece onesie with the caterpillar and butterfly from the book on it.

That's really all I got for the baby, but that's okay. I'll get plenty at my shower. :LOL

{{{Pepper}}} Hope your family gets better soon.

I got a horrible cold for Xmas, and it's so annoying not to be able to take anything (not that much would have helped). I finally feel a little better today.

I didn't get much maternity or babywise, but I did get a zolo silk sling which I am so excited about! I keep trying it on and putting bags of rice and flour in it. My mom also bought be a pair of maternity jeans which are really nice. I also love not having to fiddle with buttons or zippers (or rubber bands) everytime I pee!

I might be feeling the baby move, but I'm not sure yet. I'm 17 weeks tomorrow.

We had a lovely Christmas. The days before were very hectic and stressful, but by Christmas Eve we were able to relax and enjoy. Ds played a shepherd at the church's Christmas Eve service, which was super cute. And his grandma got him this big pieces-parts zoo/water park set from Lillian Vernon which was SO cheaply made it was nearly impossible to put together -- but he loved it and played with it for hours over the last two days. It was great!

No maternity stuff for me, but pampering items -- Aveda shampoo and a gift card to the hairdressers from dh, and cash from Mom -- thanks! My SIL thought to give me a gift for the baby which I was totally not expecting, but liked.

Am having a hard time dressing -- I am in maternity pants, but it's cold here and none of my sweaters are long enough to cover the stretchy part!

our christmas was awesome. we got baby stuff for hogwart - several different packs of onsies, a baby toothbrush from peter's uncle who is a dentist (who i've never met! lol) and toys, and my 2 favorite books from when i was little - my mom found them for me.

hogwart either really liked christmas or was really annoyed. lol. he was moving all day long and i had hardly been feeling him every other day before that.

i got some pamper me stuff too, including a little ladybug massager from my sister and one of those awesome bubble bath mats from my sil (it is soooo nice!!). i also got a food dehydrator from my mom for drying the placenta. lol. i'm not sure if she realized that's why i wanted it or not, but i think she did.

Our Christmas was nice. We've been having dinners every single night since Christmas Eve, and have our last one tomorrow night. So it's been hectic. I ended up getting quite a few maternity shirts, as well as a skirt, so that was a nice suprise. DH's parents also suprised us by giving us $1000. They did this for each of their kids...must have been a good year at work. :p

I get to see my family tomorrow night, which I'm looking forward to. And then we have a funeral to go to on Wednesday. DH's best friend lost his sister in a car accident on Christmas Eve. I guess she was in an accident on the highway, and neither of the people involved were hurt. But when she got out of the car to exchange info, another car lost control and hit her. It's horrible, she was so young. It's kind of hard to enjoy Christmas, knowing someone close of you is going through something so aweful.
