I just got back into MDC and was excited to see a babywearing forum!
I love slinging my little man (Ilyas, 9 m). We currently use a Rebozo and a Maya Wrap. I tend to use the rebozo the most, but the Maya wrap works great for us & nursing. I take my slings everywhere!
I live in a small Tx town and have only seen one other person wearing their baby. I met a girl from Africa outside my apartment (I live in married student housing). She had her baby girl in a maya-type sling. I was so excited to see another slinger that I rushed up and asked her about it. She said she got it for free from WIC, that they give out free slings to nursing mums. I never knew..
Anyways, I just wanted to say hello. I look forward to getting to know everyone!
