Here's the husband's blog:

He's complaining because his *2 month old* is being spoiled by his wife's holding her too much!!!

Besides being insensitive to the needs of his wife (who just gave birth!) it looks like he is also a registered sex offender.
it's infuriating.

What an incredible sense of entitlement this guy has. His wife is so calm and chill; she sounds like a saint!

In her shoes, I would be out of there the second the <censored> went up on the roof.
In fairness, he did something 11 years ago and there is no evidence of him doing anything since then.

On the other hand, what a douche-bag. Seriously, men like this drive me crazy. He's being a big baby and all his "I'm doing this for other husbands" crap is only hurting the image of men around the country. I hope he slips and falls when he's up on the roof.
THere is a petition against husband on strike.
check it out on the Hathor the Cowgoddess website/blog

What an a-hole! I'm a dad. He needs to grow up and step up to being a father. If he didn't want to take care of kids, he shouldn't have had any. If he wasn't communicating to his wife about how they were going to raise children, then their communication must realy suck. This guy is a jerk. Not in my name, buddy.
1. He is a black man. Unfortantly there is a larger portion of black men that white men with records.

2. Not all sex offenders are equal. We do not know the complete situation. It could have been worse or not as bad as it sounds. But, also his second child is a girl. Could the co-sleeping be making him uncomfortable knowing his past? If a CPS came in and found that a "sex offender" was co-sleeping could there be annother issue?
He decided to bring the media into his family's personal business, and shame his wife for trying to be a good mother....I guess he is just going to have to take his lumps too.
IT was 2nd degree sexual whatever which according to MI law is a non penetrative act with a minor under the age of 13. It was 11 years ago which would have made him 22. I don't care how you spin it. That's still WRONG.
2nd degree is non-penetration. The cases involving minors are all noted, minors under 13 are noted as "Person under 13" or something like that. There were multiple variables which could include the use of weapons or drugs but the actual variables are not listed if I recall correctly.

I personally doubt the man is worried about CPS. He's complaining that he's not getting enough "intimacy" w/ a 2 month old in the house.
Bump - please, everyone, sign the petition. This nasty dad has 13,000 signatures and Hathor is a little over 2,000. Let's spread this far and wide!!!

The fact that some sexual offenders are "worse" than others does not mean that the less extreme acts are a. not incredibly damaging to the children and b. acceptable acts.

The most important thing to keep in mind is that many offenders are never caught, and many go for years before being caught. The fact that he has a record from 11 years ago does not in any way say anything other than he has not been caught again - he may be offending on a regular basis.

I never get this benefit of the doubt thing with sexual offenders - would you allow your child alone with him???

.
I was just checking up on this for an updat. A finance company bought Striking Dad's blog address, so now when you go there, you get mortgage information.

Did anyone ever hear what happened in this case?
I'd be interested to know as well. What a knuckle-dragger.
