I have a potted hydrangea plant that is getting sick, I think?? Leaves are dropping and going a little brown and some of the flower tips are getting brown too

help me save my plant!! It says keep it in sunny but not direct sun area. I have tried to do this although it's difficult since we don't get a lot of sun. It says keep the soil damp, okay I have done this too, I might have given it just a little too much water yesterday actually but it seems okay today.

Any thoughts?/

I wonder if it is going through it's normal seasonal cycle? The hydrangeas here go dormant in the winter and lose all leaves and the flowers dry up (if they haven't already been dead headed). Is yours inside or outside? I don't keep the soil damp on the hydrangeas I have had before, I alway let them dry out a bit between waterings a that seems to be how they liked it best.

It's inside, in a plant pot. I don't know if it was outside at the store - it was a gift.
