My friend's teenage daughter suffers from hyperhidrosis (mostly armpits). Anyone here have any experience with the various treatments or surgery? Any known natural / herbal remedies??<br><br>

Excessive sweating of the hands can be controlled by soaking them in Fenugreek tea. I would try it for her underarms. And I would definitely stop using antiperspirants.<br><br>
She might try an ND or homeopath.

I have a friend who had the surgery for her hands. It's serious surgery, I think that to stop the sweating in the hands, they have to cut a nerve in the chest (not totally sure, but I think that's what she said). It made a HUGE difference to her, though, and she thinks it was TOTALLY worth it. For a teenager I imagine it's mortifying to sweat so much. I hope she finds a good solution. I know my friend tried all sorts of things, but the surgery's the only thing that helped.
