My SIL called today for advice and I need help. Her MD told her she had hypertension 140/91 (not overly alarming) but then her MD said she did not think SIL would make it to 36 weeks "with this high blood pressure". Now SIL is worried because clearly she wants to go to full term with this baby.

Any natural remedies for high blood pressure?
I recommended acupuncture
More water
monitoring salt intake

Is there a homeopathic remedy?

I don't remember all of the things that I did that helped (as per my MW) but here are some of them:
- a drink made from cream of tartar, fresh lemon juice and water
- scullcap tea
- passionflower extract
- raw cloves of garlic daily
- eating cucumbers that are a little old (yellowish inside)
- daily walks
I think that's all - but it worked - I made it to 9 days overdue and laboured naturally.
My first preg with high BP, I was induced early and c-sectioned by my OB. They hadn't advised me on anything, just gave me some medications and said that they had to induce me. Nice.
I firmly believe that the measures that I took helped me. Also, I have since read that eating tons of protein can help it to (and probably avioding the 'white stuff', flour, sugar, sice, etc). I think the Brewer's Diet might help.
