I found this thread started by CairoMama in the main "I'm Pregnant" section.
It's a good sale, if anyone was planning on using Hypnobabies. I know it's early to be thinking about this stuff, but sale ends Dec. 31. I'm thinking of ordering the home study course- I've heard great things about it.

20% Hypnobabies Through December 31st
If anyone is considering using the Hypnobabies Home Study program or are taking a class and want supplemental materials, Hypnobabies is offering a 20% discount through December 31. Of course, I already had all my materials when I found out about this, but wanted to pass it along in case anyone else could use it.

Hi Ladies,

This year, in light of our current economy challenges, we have decided to give a 20% discount on all products at Hypnobabies throughout December, as our gift to all Hypno-Moms!

Anyone actually tried this before and had sucsees?

I have no experience with Hypnobabies, but I did HypnoBirthing with my daughter and it was an incredible experience... worlds apart from the agony and fear I experienced birthing my boys. I'll be HypnoBirthing this one for sure!

I'm supposing that Hypnobirthing is what you're doing and Hypnobabies is just a company selling you the information to do so... so basically the same thing only she doesnt have experience with that company/website.

I'm *pretty* sure they are two different birthing "classes" from two different companies with slightly differing methods.

I have heard of hypnobirthing, because there is a woman who teaches a class in English here where I live, and in an email she said it was different from HypnoBabies. And I've heard some women on MDC say that they liked HypnoBabies better than HypnoBirthing.

I'm just wondering what the difference in the methods and practices are. I suppose I could look it up...but I'm too lazy, and I'd actually like to hear more from peoples' experiences rather than what the companies' websites say.

Thanks for the tip! I have been thinking about these. Think I'll go ahead and order. I'm adding the affirmations CD too. Need lots of positive thinking to manage my wacky anxiety.

Nope, not at all. HypnoBirthing is actually an entirely different course, which includes 'in class' components. HypnoBabies is actually kind of a knock-off.
