I'm curious about hypnobirthing & there is a class near us but it's $235 and it would be 5 Saturday mornings in a row (and we'd have to pay a sitter to care of our 5-year-old while we went)....We just don't really have the money, esp. with the holidays approaching...
So can I get away with ordering the book & CD for $14 off of Amazon & devoting some time to it each week...what do you guys think?
Thanks,
hmm.. tricky. I read the book on my own with DS and didn't "get it"..and I practiced NOTHING.

This time I took a class $200, accelrated two Sundays from noon-5pm. I took it alone without DH so he could watch DS. IT was a bit awkward not having a partner.. but if you had a sister, friend, doula take it with you tha twould be cool.

Do you think your 5 year old could come and just set up a bunch of activities for him/her? and explain that to the teacher, that the overall cost is just to much of a burden now for a babysitter?

If you are going to spend $235 maybe try the homestudy Hypnobabies I think it cost like $150? I have heard it is good. Haven't done it though.
