Hi,

I'm planning a natural birth at South Shore Hospital in October (I'm due October 13th). I'm following the hypnobirthing method and I'm looking for a doula who has experience with/is supportive of hypnobirthing. Anyone have any suggestions? T.I.A!

I wound up using a self-study program, Hypnobabies, with pretty good results. It costs about $130.00. It comes with 5 or 6 CDs including one with "Affirmations". I recommend getting two extra ones, one on "Visualizing" an individualized positive birth experience. The other is for your birthing coach.

Also, I think you can get a supplemental package for your birthing professional, as a way of getting your Midwife, Doula, etc. in sync with you.

I highly recommend this program. If you are interested in learning more PM me and I'll try and dig up one of my earlier links with more info on it. Or you could do an advanced search using "Hypnobabies" as a search term along with my Member ID, "Cathmac".

Good luck.

I picked up this card at Wareham Nurse Midwives Office:

I don't know about her being a doula, but maybe she would know of someone:
