Contractions were awesome! They kicked in around 4pm...and my 8pm were coming long and hard and deep and I was really having to make noise through them. DH kept smiling at me that look of "wow this is it"...about 10pm they were still coming every 5-6 minutes lasting a good minute to minute and a half, sometimes they were coming two in a row. I told DH to try and catch a nap. I was determined to work through some good ones on my own while the little ones were sleeping...

11pm I finally grabbed for my hypnobabies filled Ipod. I put on the "easy first stage" track...and promptly fell asleep. I woke up three times during the hour long track to a hard rocking contraction and then brought myself back into a deep rest. It felt good to get a break from the very strong waves...

I woke up at nine. Rolled over and cried at my aching hip and still enormously pregnant belly.

Pretty sure they have my dates wrong and I am going to be pregnant til 2011. Sooo not fair! Anyone else want to sit on the arms crossed pouty couch with me?

Whenever a, uh, pressure wave comes, I'm all like -- WOOO HOOO BRING IT ON! Is this all you got??? I get so excited to feel them!

But yeah, maybe my EDD was supposed to be JUNE 5, not May 5.

Awww, what a bummer Mama I was there last week when i woke up at 5:30am to ctx 7mins apart for 5 1/2hrs that totally felt like a birthday was on the way. I was all: "Bring it on, Im ready to ROCK this thing!!!". Then they come to a dead stop. Super frustrating I know. Your body is definitly working to bring your baby to you tho. When things kick in hard and heavy you'll have gotten most of the work done with already so hoepfully it will go quick.

I feel your frustration and wanting your LO to be here *now*. I keep telling my little girl that's all I want for Mother's Day, but she seems to have other ideas. LOL. Keep hanging in there.

I am sorry about your false labor day. I get one ever single baby... normally a week to 10 days sooner than the real day. This time it was just 48 hours before hand and my false labor day only got me to 1cm! I hope yours did more and that you have your little in arms soon!

I'm glad I'm not alone, although I'm sorry all you have gone thru it too! Man that was crazy intense and I keep half expecting things to kick back in, but all is silent from the mountain in my belly.

I was really excited at how well hypnobabies worked! It gives me hope that the *pain* won't traumatize me like last time. I'm not a big fan of labor and always more of the type to say "thank God it's over" instead of "oh yay my baby is finally here" I mean, I say that too...but usually my first expression is of OMG that sucked and I'm glad it's done!

I'm just ready to get the anticipation, day's of lingering waiting over with and finally hold my sweet girl...but for today...I'm taking a FAT nap!!!

Well I can now join the 'false labour' club to.... I had 10 HOURS of contractions last night, they started at 7.30pm, and ended at 5.30am with a dead stop, after throwing up ALL of my dinner (wierdly undigested even though it was eaten 8 hrs earlier!)

Woke up this morning stangely energised after only 4hrs broken sleep, and then threw up all of my breakfast..... Not quite sure how this is supposed to work if I throw up everything I consume....

I really hope that it means the real thing is going to happen soon...

Same thing happened to me last night, although I only had to endure 3hrs (sorry) of (what seemed like) major contractions & nausea.

I was up at 1:30 & thought for sure it was going to happen, because I got sick during labor with my DD which broke my sac. I timed some intense ctx, got sick, then fell asleep 3 hrs later.

Soooooooo, am still pregnant. And frustrated. And hungry.

Ugh hugs to all you mamas! I had contractions starting Saturday am and all night that were about 30 seconds every six minutes or so. Went and checked in with the midwife who said I was about 2-3 cm dilated and 70% effaced and to try to rest a bunch. Last night I drank a TON of water and had far fewer contractions- more like one big contraction every 20-30 min. So to help things along should I rest or be active? Is this " false" labor or earl y labor? I just feel confused because I didn't have any Braxton hicks contractions that I noticed during this pregnancy so when the cotractions started I felt like " this is it!"

Ok, I am major envious....I have had them for over 12 hours now. Although this morning, they are very far spaced out...

And I really just want to puke as well....

This is my 5th delivery...and it is acting more like what I went through with my first pregnancy....days and days of early labor or bh....

I have been practicing my Bradley relaxation/sleep imitation and it seems to help a lot. And I doubt I am making any progress as I have had no show or mucus discharge after 16 hours of this.

What is with the Barfing thing? I left that out of my story thinking it was just the very greasy chicken salad I had eaten, but now hearing you ladies are doing/did it too makes me wonder....I have never done this in any of my pregnancies. Interesting how they are all so different.

I hate barfing in general. I really hate barfing in labor. I pray to God that parts all done with! And I pray even harder that this "fake" stuff is really making some sort of progress that I won't have to make later. I'm just hoping for a super fast delivery at this point. I guess we all are huh?

I dunno. I heard/read that loss of appetite can be an indicator of the beginning of labor. After last night, & having to use the bathroom (TMI?) so many times today, I would imagine that this baby would zoom out like she's on a luge.

I've been struggling with this for over a week!!! I had a slow water weak sealed itselff, I've had days of contractions that have been changing my cervix, but slowly. My mom came up from Cali last week during one of my labor "episodes" because she heard me in the background and thought for sure it was the real thing but she had to go home today even though the baby hasn't been born yet. and now I just found out that my sister inlaw isn't going to be able to take the kids when I go into labor, although she had said she would from the beggining. Ack! I just wish I knew when this baby was coming... even if it wasn't for another month, just knowing when would save a lot of trouble! And this stop and start prodromal labor is killing me!
