My 3 girls got goldfish as a take home gift from a birthday party. Cute? sure, until they die!!
I'm down to one. And I bought a new one the other day who seems to enjoy taking bites out of the others.
I have never owned fish before. Now my kids, 1, 2.5 and 4 get to experience death.
:

I'm a bad sport that way I guess - I mean, dealing with the care, feeding, and almost inevitable death of a goldfish = FUN! (sarcasm)

If you want them both to live you should seperate them. Are the different varieties? Or is one just alot bigger than the other? Can you make a place for the one to hide with rocks or something?

the killer is a bigger fish, and different type, too. I just separated them. the little one is holding on by a fin.

Just so you know, this is not that uncommon. Just like other animals that are aggressive, the big ones like to take the little ones out. Next time, if there is a next time, the people at the store should be able to help you figure out which fish are compatible. I've not heard of super aggressive gold fish but it sounds like you have one!

The one who is getting eaten will die. You gotta keep them separated because one might be sick and then pass it on to the other one. Did you get a tank with a filter? They like that.

I think I'll put that in my signature.
