I'm bi, and I was conceived by artificial insemination to two lesbians and a gay man. I blog about my experiences at http://www.squidoo.com/having-gay-parents . Best of luck to all prospective queer parents.

Hi, thanks for sharing your blog, and for the good luck!

As for your poll... Hmmmm... How do you define "queer" in this context?

My otherwise-heterosexual mother had a romantic relationship with a woman for two years during my childhood (I didn't learn of it until recently, as they are still good friends and it hadn't occurred to me that they were ever anything else to each other!). However, my mother would certainly never call herself queer, and I doubt she'd go with bi either. As far as I can tell, it was just the way things were for a while... So while others may impose the label on her, it's not part of how she articulates her own identity.

(And so I voted "No", FYI!)

I'm voting yes for my mom, but my dad is a definite no.
