Okay, so I am so THRILLED!!! My mom said to go ahead and buy it, and she's sending me the money for my birthday!!! So, I ordered one today from the snap store. I would have gotten it from the OSDS (I'm very loyal to the stores I shop at ), but they were still out. So, I ordered it and the dies and a whole lot of snap pieces in bright yellow, royal blue, celery, crimson, and white!!!! I cannot wait to have dipes made from my homemade pattern with SNAPS!!! Anyway, if anyone's still reading, I do actually have a question...

When do you put the snaps on??? I think I would prefer them to be hidden. It would be easier to apply them after I apply the elastic, since then all the fabric would be held together, but then they wouldn't be hidden. Do you just pin the layers together and apply the snaps?? FWIW, I'll be sewing front-snapping, serged diapers. Thanks!!!

How exciting! I bought my snap press from Wendy too. I took a peek at your diaper stash link n your sig. I love the fabrics you chose for your fitteds that you made. Very cute!

I've only made T&T diapers, but I will share anyway. For hidden snaps, I put them on after cutting out and stacking the diaper layers. Stacking them in order helps me get them on the right layers. Otherwise I put them on last. I use my seam ripper to poke a hole through all the layers.

Share pics when you've made your first diaper with snaps!

Oh, they're so much fun! I don't have the arm muscles to kick out more than one diaper worth of snaps at a time, so I have to get hubby to help me.
I use mine on pockets, so that wouldn't help you with what order to do the snaps in. My only thought is that If I was doing AIO's, I'd make sure to have them installed through more than one layer of fabric for strength.
Congratulations!
