OMG- this thing is amazing! I am only on the 3rd day of my cycle, but I have had absolutley no problems getting it positioned right, and not ONE leak! My cycle is super heavy on day 2-3 and the fact that I have not had a leak and that other than the usual kind of crampiness I would not even know AF is here is just amazing to me. I was kind of nervous for overnight- but it was great. I can't even feel it. I'm just sad I didn't get this YEARS ago!

It took me about 3 cycles to get really comfortable with mine, but I agree that I wish I had found it years before

I misplaced mine through two cycles recently and using those tampons I still had left was horrid!!!

I just got mine Monday and AF arrived about 2 hours ago. So far so good. After reading up on it for a while here I think I may be able to avoid problems that some have talked about here since there are so many great ideas. Thank you all who have recommended the diva.

Diva rocks! I'm a former Insteader, Diva convert. Diva and I became fast close friends in ONE cycle (last month). I am anxiously awaiting my next cycle due any day, and can't wait to hang w/ Diva through it! I ordered Moon too, but she won't be arriving in time to hang out this month. Maybe Diva will understand if I show Moon around next month. I'll be loyal to Diva, no question, but it doesn't hurt to have 2 friends to cycle with!
My daughter is 13, and just finished her 2nd cycle, and made FAST friends w/ Diva, after never exploring her body. Month one didn't go so well, but this month was a HUGE success for her. She's thrilled! I hated cycles for the last 20 years, but LOVE and WELCOME them now, because of Diva!

That is so great you got your daughter to try it. I was so lucky to get my Diva this week. I ordered it last Thursday night at like 9:30 pm and when I got home from work on Monday it was sitting there. I thought I was going to have to wait until my next cycle. I got so excited my Diva came early (I am also so glad I didn't pay for the 3-5 day shipping, what a waste that would have been.) I also started out a few months ago with the instead cup but thought since I liked that so much I should try the diva.

I'm glad to see there are so many loyal users. I was about to order it online but the website said our local whole foods carried it so I went there today to get it but they didn't have it after all. So hopefully I'll get to order it tomorow and have it in time for my next cycle. I'm looking forward to trying it out!

Divas are only $20 right now on Betterlife.com, so tell your friends. I know we all have our preferred shopping sites, but this is a savings above any I've seen. I had it in less than a week, and the shipping was under $5, as I recall. Anyway, hope someone benefits from the heads up!

I started using mine a few days ago.

I'm not sure if I'm on my period but I think I might be.

I got a paraguard IUD 3 weeks ago. My bleeding went from spotting to heavy period bleeding.

So I have some flow questions, I started wearing it Wednesday. I changed it 3 times Wednesday and got 1/4 oz each time, then I switched to a pad because I was cramping and wanted to know if it was from the cup, it was not.
Thursday I changed it 4 times and each time it was 1/4- 1/2 oz. That seems like a lot.

I had 3 days of 1/4-1/2 every 3-5 hours, and then a little more overnight. I think the *average* is 3-4 ounces total- I know I have a heavier cycle than average, but I think it is still 'normal'. I am also wondering if it will get lighter after using it for a few months. I just ordered some cloth pads to use with it for the first couple days (just in case)- I think they may help some, too. I know that after 3 days of tampons I used to have terrible cramping/clotting on my 4th day and that did not happen with this cycle. I am positive now that the tampons were restricting the flow and causing the clots. I cannot believe the difference in just one month.

I can't wait until my period comes back (well maybe not that much) so I can try it out! It's sitting in my drawer waiting for me. Though as soon as my period comes back, I'll be TTC again and may only get to use it once or twice.

Aw, Perl, that's such a great gift! If I'd have ever rec'd one as a gift (not knowing about them), I'd have gone "hmmmmmmmmmm", but opened it up and gave it a try, and be indebted to you for life. I hope she knows something about cups, and if not, I really hope she opens up to the thought of cycle freedom! Cups are the BEST invention for cycling!

I've been using a DivaCup for a couple of years. Best purchase I ever made. I had 2 cycles in the first 6 months where I had major leakage issues, which to this day I don't know what it was all about. But since then, which has been about 18 months, I've had "lovely" periods.

I had no problems at all with mine on the first cycle so I ordered one for dd. She's very private about such things (didn't tell me when she first started cycling or when she switched to tampons) but she was definitely interested and we've been talking about getting them since March.

It sure will be nice to be completely free from the disposable products! I could never bear to get the dioxin-laden el cheapo generics for dd and we can't really afford organics.
