Owen is getting TEETH! He's only 4mo. old, but there they are. Of course it would be the drama queen who started first. DD was HORRIBLE when it came to getting new teeth. It looks like O is following in her footsteps. If he is awake he is miserable. Oh did I mention they both have really snotty colds as well? Joy. My tiny boys simply cannot be teething. I am not ready for this yet. They aren't even rolling or sitting yet. What do they need teeth for? :

Oh Jody, I am right there with you. Nick & Katie are a few weeks older, but Katie's teeth should be peeking out any day now. Oh, and did I mention that she's a biter?? Even without teeth she almost brought me to tears a few times... I cant imagine what it will be like once she gets them... OUCH!!!

I feel your pain.

My ped said that mine couldn't possibly be teething at 3.5 and 4 months. But their teeth erupted at 4.5 months.

Ah yes, it is impossible for a 3 month old to have teeth. . . Yet my boys popped their first teeth at 3 mo and had 6 teeth each by 4 months (12 by 6 months)!! they are so miserable when they teeth so young too. Poor babies!!

I see some of you other mamas with Sep/Oct 06 babies... my guys have been having teething-like symptoms for well over a month, maybe almost two. How can I know for sure it's teething? How long does it take for the teeth to come after the symptoms start? Our chiro/CST doc thought it might be teething but it's been going on so long....

Can you SEE the teeth? Since my boys are getting their bottom teeth you can SEE the teeth erupting pretty early on. It is going to take quite awhie for them to emerge through the top of the gums, but they are definitely there. You might have to roll down the bottom lip to see the gums, btw.

Jody -- Oh no! Teeth so early! That, um, bites. : James just got his first tooth yesterday, which I discovered when the little stinker bit me.

I do think I see some ridges of teeth pushing up on the gums... they definately haven't poked through yet, but it looks like there is something just below the surface.

Wow! We are at 8 months and no teeth in sight. Lots of 'teething' though.
