I've had a feeling all along that this baby will take her time arriving, but I started coaching her this morning... okay little girl, this is the month you want to be born in, don't make me wait until October to meet you. Although I was in worse physical shape with DS (PUPPPS and terrible edema), I don't remember being this ready to be DONE before my supposed due date. I really need some help with patience right now!

Well my edd is Sept. 24th so if he stays in then I really am in for the long haul with ya! Some days I can't stand the idea, and some days I'm okay with it b/c I know it's best for baby to bake as long as possible. I'm super excited to give birth though and cant wait to see how it will play out as well as what day he wants to be his birthday. It's all one big surprise so that's neat.
I'm happy it's September too

Me too. I can finally say "this month" though people still look at me like I've got two heads... i.e.,

"How much longer do you have?"
"I don't know, really, anytime now..."
Puzzled look
"Well, I'm due in a week and a half, but babies come when they are ready. He (nodding at DS) came super late, so I could have another 4 weeks"
Still a puzzled look
At this point, I give up.

I'm not a big fan of this part of a pregnancy. DS was 19 days overdue, and the overdue part wasn't so bad. It's the weeks leading up to the due date that are bad. You are filled with anticipation, and think every little thing might be it. You don't want to make plans, but you should... Waiting, waiting, waiting.

I've found that after the due date has come and gone, it's more of a joke, so it's not so bad...

I have to deliver this baby by the 26th to have a BC birth, so I really, really hope he/she comes by then. Everyone assures me it will happen, so I'm trying to stay positive...

I know, I keep telling myself the longer they stay in the better they come out
I have thought from the get go that I would be pg until Oct. 1st, so as not to psych myself out!!

and I promised my m/w no castor oil this time

I'll join up here too - my official DD is Oct 1st, but I have always put it a few days earlier myself. Rather than make a fuss about it with the mw, I figure it's better this way - it gives me a few extra days to fight any threatened inductions. But I really hope it doesn't come to that and that this is a September baby. Fingers strongly crossed as I am already impatient ..........

I'll join you. I'm due on the 30th, but I've thought all along that he'll actually be here in October. I'm in trouble if he gets here early, because I have soooo much to do. I made a list last night : .

I'm not all that uncomfortable yet, so I'm not in a big hurry. I sure am looking forward to meeting him, though.
