ONe of my veyr good friends' (my doula, too
) little dd had a truly awful diaper rash. I went over there with some yeast cream (which helped). Friend let dd run around nakie, but of course she peed AND pooed everywhere. I had two of my nice fitteds in my bag, and with much hesitation i gave her a liz cloth - luckily our girls are teh same dipe size. It fit great, and we had a long discussion about CD'ing, chemicals, etc. She agreed to come look at my stuff and give it a go!

Well, today, i met her in the church nersery to get my dipe back. To my great shock and delight, she had devised a system to use what she had on hand to put her daughter in cloth til she could get more 'real' diapers
.

She had taken her son's vinyl covered Gerber trainers and stuffed them with those burp cloth 'diapers' and was actually using them! AND had even brought them to use while she was out! I was thrilled, to say the least. She said she realized how uncomfortable the sposie made her daughter's raw heiney. ETA: She even figured out that she could use a washcloth as a doubler, the clever girl
. I think she is pretty much going to do CPFs and inexpensive covers, but she can probably resell even those. Yay!

That's great!

Big
for your friend for doing everything she could for her sweet little one. You don't know how many times friends/family have complained to me about rashes on their babes and yet they refuse to cloth diaper. Poor babies!
