I am starting a WI homebirth/Midwife/Doula Group!!!!!!!

I am definitely interested! I think its fate that we connect, my name is Jessica Lynn too . Anyway, I live in Janesville and I am also an aspiring midwife. I am going the CNM route for now so I am attending school full time. I start RN clinicals in the fall and then I am hoping to someday go to Marquette, since thats my only option. I have been apprenticing a midwife in Rockford for about 3 years and I think that I have found my calling. But, I do not have any children of my own yet. I live with my boyfriend of 4.5 years and we plan on getting married and having kids *someday* (if it were up to me it would be now, but not everyone moves at the same speed as me ). I would like to try to at least finish my bachelors first then probably take a little break from school. It would be so great to start a WI group because I know people involved with birth in Rockford area, but not anyone really near were I live or Madison area would be great too. Anyway, I'll stop for now , but we have much to discuss!

you said something about there being groups up here? I'd love it if you could pass on any info about that, because I'm actually having a hard time even finding a midwife near me! I'm not actually pregnant yet, but we're going to start trying this month, and the closest mw i've found is 1 1/2 hrs. away. This would be an HBAC for me, so I'd really like to connect with some other homebirthy people! I loved my homebirth group when i was pg with ds, but that was when we lived in alaska... I guess janesville isn't THAT far away :LOL
