Yep, not only was I in courst, but I was cross-examining a witness. I'm not a lawyer but did represent myself with my husband and DS just so happened to be breastfeeding when it came time for me to ask a big burly macho land surveyor some questions. It felt great to be there in court, standing tall with a baby on the boob asking questions.
What happened was I went to court like I was supposed to. The police officer at the front said that I wouldn't be able to take my 3 month old baby in with me. I said that I was one of the defendents and needed to be present for court. So he got me "permission" to take ds in with me but said the judge said I had to leave if he cried. I said, oh, I'll just breastfeed him if he cries.
The judge was a woman and didn't say anything. I don't think she could have being that I had a right to be there and thus had the right to feed my son.
Although, I just saw a post about not bfing in a state funded office, I should check that out.
