DH and I NEVER agree on names; we argue back and forth for months and one person has to give in eventually. It's not pretty
But this time, we are in agreement and I'm not quite 17wks yet! It feels really strange- and a huge weight lifted. No more vetoing the horrible names DH comes up with
I think it helps the kids bond with the baby more before the birth when we have a name and call him/her by "their" name, and after April 27th, we can start using the name! Woo Hoo!

Anyone else have final choice names confirmed?

I'm so behind on the ball with this one. My husband and I haven't even started discussing names...... though we did go and look through a couple books at Barnes and Noble a couple weeks ago

I'm one of the earliest due in the DDC -- I've joked with him that the baby will come out and we'll be like "oh, we need to talk about some names"

We've had our girl name picked out since before we were even married but we haven't decided on a boy name yet. I love Biblical names like Joseph, Samuel, Isaac, Adam, Job, Ezekiel, Luke...but Chris wants Star Wars or Simpsons names.
I'm sorry, but I am NOT naming my sons Vader or Millhouse Johnson. Absolutely not! We MIGHT go with Luke because we both like it but I have this weird friend who keeps saying I should name our baby after her or one her kids. Guess what her son's middle name is? yep, Luke! And even though it WOULDN'T be after him (it's a compromise--Biblical AND Star Wars-y!) I know she'd go around thinking that it is, so I'm not sure if we'll go with it or not.

So anyway, possibly Luke for a boy and Eowyn for a gir.

Yay! We have tabled the discussion till the u/s. . .although we have a few for each that we can agree on at least. But we may actually just narrow it down to two and decide once we meet the LO. Not sure yet.

Luke is a nice compromise I think, JessicaRenee. . .my youngest sister would have been Luke had she been a boy. (Hmmm, my mom never found out the gender with any of us and yet she is anxiously awaiting my finding out!) I too like boy Bible names, but my DH not so much. I dislike the girl Bible names though, at least the really common ones. I would definitely stick to your veto guns on the Simsons names. . .I mean, who wants that burden!

Nope...I'm not in labor yet! LOL

Honestly, we never talk about names til I'm in the early stages of labor - or else AFTER! LOL

With DD we had 40 names, 20 each. We talked when I started contracting and got it down to 10 girl, 10 boy. When she was born it was instant when we saw her....

With DS1 I started with some weird cramps at about 9am.....I said - uh, we'd better talk names! So we amalgamated our lists but were pretty sure on a boy's name - which is what we used.

With DS2 we talked when i was 5days ovedue - had a list of about 5 names each sex....again it was a given when he was born!

Likely about September 18 we'll talk around here...

Our other kids are Kaylee, Alexis(Lexie) and Austin- these names just sorta seem to fit with us

4th baby names are HARD! We used up all of our compromise name already

Sooo...Kayleezoo...DO TELL!!! You can't leave us hanging like this!!! You can post it then delete it later if you want

ETA: Oh, never mind, we cross posted!!

Yes, we have names, first names at least, we're still discussing middle names. Both our sons have family names as middle names, but nothing seems to be working for the names we have chosen this time.

Girl: Evelyn (Juliana?)
Boy: Gavin (Alexander?)

Interestingly, and quite accidentally, Gavin means "white hawk" and Evelyn *might* mean "beautiful bird", so they go great together! Which was an integral part of my twin dream...the fact that we like the names so much and they go so well together, so it was a good thing we were having boy/girl twins. Of course, IRL it would totally FREAK me out to have twins!!!

We have names picked out too and it was relatively painless to pick them this time, which was a shock! He did veto my very favorite girl name ever, but he agreed to my 2nd choice. He let me just pick the boy name because he didn't have any suggestions.

I'm not "allowed" to share them anywhere otherwise I'd post them, we agreed to keep it a secret until we know if it's a boy or a girl

Cute names - they do fit your family really well

We've got Charlotte as a solid first name, but we're absolutely lost on middle names....

Kaylee,
It's always nice to agree on names. I remember DH and I would talk about names before DD was born. There were so many times I'd mention a name and he'd tell me a story about someone who was mean to him in elementary school or it was a pet's name. (like Finn). He had a cat named Phinneas.

So we had a boy's name picked out 3 years ago that we'll use if this baby is a boy. (we're keeping it a surprise for now) We still love the name.

With the girls name we can't agree on anything....there's no certain name that either of us feel strongly about. I really feel like this baby is a boy...but DD says "No, it's a girl!"
We're going to find out in a few weeks.

Our boy name is solid. Our girl names are still way up in the air. We (should) find out Wednesday morning if we have more name searching to do or not!!

Middle name is decided for either gender: MacGregor, after my dad who passed away a few years ago (Gregory) and hubby's grandfather (A.M.), known as Mac.

My spouse likes all of the girl names that I like and has basically ceded that decision to me if we end up with a girl. I am 100% sure on what I want for the first name in this case (which is weird, because I like SO MANY girl names and didn't think I'd ever be able to narrow them down... now I just "know" what her name is if she's a she!) but not sure about a middle name. I am thinking about asking my guy to pick the middle name himself if it's a girl.

Boy names are still totally up in the air. My guy hates 90% of the male names I like and has yet to put forth even one serious suggestion as to a male name he does like. I feel as uncertain about a boy name as I feel certain about a girl name.

Only 19 more days til we find out the gender... who's counting, right?
