So Meg is almost 21 months, and I'm expecting two babies in January (and I'm not gaining enough weight so I'm supposed to be getting more rest). I'm exhausted all the time. A couple of months ago we moved Meg out of our bed into a toddler bed pushed up against ours with the side removed. Until recently she was staying in that bed really well, and if she didn't I could move her back there w/o waking her up. For the past week or two, though, she is very quickly rolling over up against me and staying there, tossing and turning all night, ramming her big ole head into me, etc. If I move her back it wakes her up and she's right back up against me again. I'm large and uncomfortable and having enough trouble sleeping without this aggravation.

So...is it time to take the next step with her bed arrangement? Maybe put the side up and move the bed a little away from ours? Maybe move it into her room? She has to be touching me to fall asleep (but no longer nurses) so that is a consideration.

Help! I need more rest!

We have 100% co-slept with DD who is 23 months. We got her a bed whent she turned one, which we used for storing clothes toys ect... I just put her bed into her room with all of her stuff and she thinks its so cool that she sleeps in there 90% of the time. I lay down with her in there, and we put in a tape, and she falls right to sleep. Almost so easy, it makes me a bit sad that she is getting so big. Last night she slept 9 hours in her bed. Tonite she is in our "family bed". Good luck with whatever your choice.

Thanks, darkstar, I gave up on getting responses here! We put up the rail between the two beds, which helped, but I'm going to move her into her own room soon, with the music I've been playing every time we lie down together.

Good luck mama. I too feel the same way about getting replies to my posts. I hope everything works out well.

I think that would actually be ideal...however, I'm really struggling with how much is fair to ask of him when he gets up at 6:30 am to go to work and gets home at 7:15 pm, you know? Yes, we both have full-time jobs even though mine is at home, but I can at least nap with Meg, etc. KWIM?
