I swear my family is driving me nuts.... When DS was newborn I got he looks so uncomfortable in those huge diapers, when he was learning to roll over I got he cant roll over with that huge dipaer butt, he can't sit up with that huge diaper on, he not crawling casue of that huge diaper. Well DS is 8 months old crawling up a storm, rolling from his back to his tummy to his knees to his feet at every diaper change, turning around sitting down to play with a toy, rolling around on the floor with the cats and dogs and the grandparents have stopped about the whole CD thing. Untill today when my mom comes over

and Jake is NAKED..she came un-glued and told me that if I let him run around naked now he will ge to the point he'll never let me put a diaper on him and be pulling it off all the time "In Public!"

Give me a break. AND he will hurt his penis on a toy if I let him run around "exposed" all the time. Can I choke her? Just a little bit? Not till she turns blue or anything.... Huh can I?

My family hasn't dared say anything negative... I'm becoming more like my Grandma and getting very good at vocalizing my opinions, good or bad, so they know they'll get an earful. Oh, and ds is pushing at his diaper too. He really prefers naked time, but I don't trust him.

But then again, at almost 9mos ds can climb up our half-staircase (7 stairs) in 35 seconds. Yes, I was bored and timed him.

I woulda choked her already, and not just a little bit either! I do NOT understand this logic for the life of me. How did babies learn to move before there were Pampers? As for her objections to your DS being naked, tell him most boys think their penises (peni?) *ARE* toys! This is your way of cutting down on consumption and clutter! :LOL

OMG I think your mom & my friend's MIL should get together & go bowling!

It's amazing what people will say. I actually have a mantra that i practice when her MIL comes to town "Isn't it great that they're all so different?" Ugh. I told my friend that her MIL is VERY lucky she didn't get someone like me as a DIL- the line would've been drawn a long time ago.

Weren't we all cd'd if we're over 30? (are any of us over 30??? nah

) As for milestones, that's where my mantra comes in- we got EVERYTHING because dd wasn't mobile - "why should she go anywhere, you give her everything!"
