this is our first baby so we are going to have a baby shower in like 4-5 months! I had been holding back on the baby registry, but I finally caved in
:

there were so many things i was thinking about needing and not needing, i just wanted to see it on the screen all listed out.

so I DID IT. I started my baby registry and it was so much fun looking at all the cute baby stuff
:

anyone else cave in, or is it just me

I am sure that as soon as I hit 12 weeks, my fingers will twitch right on over to register for stuff.

My best friend and her sister have a ton of things for me to use, which is really cool. (Swing, pack/play, tons of clothes, etc.) I don't think I will need to register for much.

Oh, I understand completely. Because I have been soooooo sick and mostly lay here in bed all day, I look on the laptop for baby stuff to distract myself. I was inadvertently doing research and discovering certain products I knew I wanted over others. After while I thought, I'm gonna forget all of this by the time I actually register. So I started an Amazon baby registry. I was embarrassed to tell anyone! But it really helps pass the time and distract me from nausea. Plus, it's hard to get excited when you feel worse than you ever have in your entire life. I needed a little something fun and indulging.

^ that's exactly what happened to me. I was thinking I would never remember all the stuff that has come to mind that I might need so I just decided to put it all in an Amazon registery. But then I started having a good time so I just browsed the whole baby section :sheepish: and found all this neat stuff.

originally i wasnt going to register for much, especially cause we have such a small space. but i started thinking that if I don't put it on the registry and my family get them for me then later I may have to buy it myself. so I decided to put stuff I'll need even in 1 -2 years, and stuff I think would be useful but wouldn't want to spend on myself. anyway with all my family and friends i think my baby shower is going to be huge, so theyll need stuff to pick from.

Yeah I have a few things on there too, not much, maybe like 3 or 4 little things. Gotta love online registering

All I really want is a good stash of cloth diapers and some nice baby wraps. OH and a good breast pump, since I'll have to return to work almost immediately. (
) Don't think there's any way to register for that stuff, though.

Actually, if you use a site like MyRegistry.com, you can build a registry with links to products on a lot of different websites. We did this last time and had links to mama-owned diaper shops, BabyHawk, and others that we could find online but not at a single store. Then we just directed friends to our registry and they could buy the items. It worked really well for us. HTH!
