My DH isn't interested in cloth. He did it in the beginning, before he got "spoiled" by sposies. But once he got a taste of sposies, and got peed on by cloth (user error - twice!), he hated cloth from then on. Before that, he'd do a prefold if I had it pre-folded for him (used newspaper fold then). We ended up switching to sposies when DS was about 3 months old (had been CD'd for 2 months... the first month of life was very leaky preemie sized sposies in the NICU).
When I switched back to cloth a few months ago, I showed him a FB and said I wanted to switch. DH said I could use whatever I wanted at home. He doesn't want to use cloth when we go out. The funny thing is that I regularly use cloth when I go out. DS has worn 3 sposies in the last 2 months... Two were for long car rides, and I only used the sposie for those because I've sold most of my FBs and didn't have enough to use them on the whole trip (and I'm not using prefolds on a trip). The third sposie was one day when I was sick on Sunday morning, and DH took DS to church and let me stay home and rest. DH put him in a sposie for that.
So far, DH has just been unwilling to change a cloth diaper. Oh well. I do almost all of the changes anyway, so it's not that big a deal. I haven't bought sposies in the last 3 months.
Now the grandparents... They're all willing to do cloth, since they used cloth on both of us. But sometimes the memory is a bit fuzzy... My MIL had a TON of prefold sticking out of the cover when she changed DS the first day he was home. It was kind of funny.
Also, don't forget that sometimes grandparents have arthritic fingers and may not be able to handle pins or a snappi as easily... or snaps for that matter!
