Blargh!

I was totally exhausted at 10, so I got in bed and fell asleep by 10:30 or so. Maybe 10:45, tops. At 11:45, I woke up to pee, and now it's been an hour and a half and I am so tired I have a headache and I CAN'T SLEEP. I had a snack and listened to the "Peaceful Sleep Now" Hypnobabies track and lay in bed, and I am still wide awake.

: I just want to be asleep. Why am I so awake? Blah. And I'm still hungry but I'm too lazy to get myself another snack, since I ate all the food I kept on the nightstand in case of hunger.

Ya know, I did have a dream the other night that I got totally tanked. I was like, "Hey, the baby's almost here anyway, I'm sure that ONE NIGHT of getting drunk out of my mind won't make a big difference," and I got wasted in my dream.

I'm up right now and its 511am. My whole family is asleep. I woke up to pee around 4 and couldn't fall back asleep, so I finally came downstairs and got something to eat. This stinks. :

I'm up too. Didn't take my cal/mag last night (it makes a difference in my sleep) and I've been up watching really bad TV since just before 4. Had a snack and I think I may go back to bed soon.

I just hate lying there not sleeping. And my mom is here (she sleeps with me when visiting) and I don't want to disturb her. And I hate the heater in this house...when it's on, it's stifling and I can't breathe. I'd rather be cold.

I'm up now too. I had such a crappy night that on my millionth pee trip it just didn't seem worth it to go back to bed. Now I'm having a huge breakdown because this baby is never going to come out. :

I was up almost all night - but I didn't get out of bed in the hopes that I would fall asleep. It was pure torture. Now I have to make my daily 45-60 min commute in heavy traffic and pray I'm awake enough to navigate successfully : Also, I think one of the reasons I couldn't sleep was that I'm catching a nasty cold. I'm already taking garlic, echinacea, and extra vitamin C - what else do I need to digest to get rid of this?! :
Sorry to be a downer this morning

I woke up a lot, but was able to fall back to sleep each time. Until 5:00, when I woke up having to pee, but didn't want to get out of bed and disturb Isabel. So I laid there, dozing, until she woke around 5:30.

Thankfully, I go to bed with her and am usually asleep by 8:30.

People laugh when I say I think there's a chance I may get more sleep after the baby shows up, but they don't understand exactly how bad the insomnia has been.
I slept more or less through the last two nights, and it was everything I ever hoped and dreamed it could be. It's been a while since I did that.
Ms. Muffin, I was looking at Champagne yesterday. I'm trying to decide what kind to buy for post-labor cheers. It should be a good one, dontcha think? The first few months of pregnancy, I kept on dreaming that I had forgotten I was pregnant and smoked an entire pack of cigarettes, and I'd wake up feeling so guilty.

Me too! Seriously, I am up AT LEAST every hour to pee. Then it's hard to get back to sleep. And then there is the insomnia.

Well, from what I've heard, babies can sleep at least an hour at a time, right? I honestly think I may be better off with the baby on the outside.

I EASILY got more sleep after dd was born than during my pregnancy with her- and I had hyperemesis that pretty much kept me in bed all day, every day.

Mmm, champagne. I am just daydreaming about LIQUOR, but champagne sounds lovely. So does a strawberry margarita. Or a mai tai. Or a mojito. I would take all 3. Right now. Edit: 4. That makes 4. Not 3. I are smart.

This summer, I had a dream that I took some acid or mushrooms or something and was tripping balls, and then realized that I was pregnant and this would fuck over baby's brain development, and then I had a really baaaaaad trip. I can still remember all the crazy visuals and colors I saw in the dream, and there was this dude with a beard chanting about how I was killing my baby as I was running up and down this spiral staircase freaking out. : When I woke up, I literally thought I had been on SOMETHING, because it was so f'ed up, and I had to calm myself down from a panic attack telling myself that it was obviously impossible that I had taken shrooms or acid.
