I had a dream about a baby! My first...I have been in that category of not having dreams or insights or anything really (but the physical side effects, that is). But yesterday morning when I woke up I was so happy because I had a dream about having a baby.

I was alone and did not realize I was in labor and then I realized I was having the baby. Out came the head and then shortly thereafter the body...it all seemed to be slowly but surely. In the dream I remember thinking that I could be worried about things that could happen or that no one was there, but that instead all I felt was calm and trusting, and of course it was perfect. And the coolest part was that when the baby's head came (sideways) she (yes, a girl

: ) gave a small peaceful smile before her head restituted downwards and her body slipped out. (This is funny because usually the head comes out facing down, or up if posterior, and then goes sideways for the shoulders to be born, in my dream it was the opposite.)

Wow! That's a good one, eh? It is a lovely, peaceful, trusting image I hope to keep with me the rest of pregnancy and during the birth.

Anyone else have birth dreams yet?

I'm with you, I've only had one (other than early dreams that I was having another m/c). Mine was that I was in labor and was sitting with my mom in my backyard, very calmly discussing the birthing process. Then, the cast of "Grey's Anatomy" showed up - they were going to be delivering my baby!!! I was mainly talking to Alex about how the procedure would go...then, all of a sudden, I stood up and shouted, "Oh no, I can't have this baby now, I'm only 4 months pregnant, and I have no idea what I'm doing! I need at least another 5 months to figure out how to give birth and what to do once the child gets here!!!" So I made them all leave.

Guess somebody's a little insecure and feeling unprepared, eh?

How cute! Don't you just love how in birth dreams the actual birth and delivery is so easy and peaceful? It's always like, oh, I'm having a baby...and here it is....

I haven't had any dreams about my baby yet except I did have one where I was with an toddler boy...maybe a boy

What a lovely dream!

When I was pregnant with DS my birth dreams were all the oh-holy-crap-baby's-here-and-we're-not-ready kind. I remember one where I had to put baby in the bottom of a bird cage because there wasn't anywhere else for him.

This time around they're much more peaceful. I think I've had 2 so far, both wonderful and vivid.
