We switched to using Fuzzi Bunz two weeks ago. I am totally hooked. I just bought a mini shower (came today! haven't had time to hook it up yet) to solve our nasty toddler poop issue, but other than the poop, things are going well.

We went on vacation last week and took the diapers with us. The only disposables we used were the swim diapers (I didn't have time to buy a cloth swim diaper before we left). The hotel had a guest laundry and I just washed the diapers there every night. We had no stink issues.

My mom, who used to hate cloth, now loves it. She thinks the diapers are beautiful.

My son has had only one rash since we started using cloth diapers and it ended up getting BETTER before it got worse!!! I actually think the difference in this case was the cloth wipes as opposed to the disposable ones. We use Kissaluvs diaper lotion potion and LOVE it.

Cloth wipes totally rule over disposable ones. Clean up is so much easier and does not bother his sensitive skin.

My son loves to choose his diaper and has learned some color names so that he can pick his favorites.

Except for one stain issue, everything has come out clean in the wash with no problem. I wash every 48 hours, cold rinse with a tiny bit of Cheer, hot wash with Cheer and Oxiclean, two cold rinses.

I have only Fuzzi Bunz, microfiber inserts from Nurtured Family, 5 little leaf hemp doublers, and one Joey Bunz. I stuff with one microfiber for day and one microfiber and a hemp doubler folded in half and stuffed in front (I have a boy) for night. No leaks at night since we switched to cloth. We cosleep, and I was SO tired of waking up in puddle every morning. The night wetting was the reason I was looking to switch to cloth in the first place.

I have found this to be such an easy transition. The only real problem we've had is the peanut butter poop
, but I hope the mini shower will solve that problem.

Glad you're loving it! Aren't you glad you took the plunge? I never thought I would c/d...after all, it was so much bother that only crazy hippies did it...but I was so, so wrong. (No longer think hippies are crazy either.
)

I am so looking forward to my son being older and picking his "bums" out.

Blue, green, and the bug printed ones. Sometimes red if the others aren't available.

I hooked up my mini shower this morning and actually BROKE my toilet. I fixed it (after a trip to Home Depot), and I do now have the
for the mini shower after I put a formerly poopy diaper in the pail this morning. Now the poop doesn't get in the washer.

Additionally, I was happy to find that I can disconnect the sprayer when not in use. I'm lovin' it.

Glad to hear this is so positive! I recently switched to all FB too - after a little cloth hiatus. I have to say I LOVE THE WHOLE POCKET DIPE sensation. To me they are very comparable to sposies except that you don't toss them. I have peanut-butter poo issues too and use liners which does help but does not eliminate. Thought about the minishower but I just use the bathtub (it gets cleaned after each time!) to rinse out stickies. I also rinse out every diaper before I put it in the pail. Works really well to keep stinkies at bay.
Glad to hear the vacation thing went well too. We may head somewhere late July and I will plan on bringing my FB instead of buying sposies!

So I asked my not-really-pro-CD-but-tolerant DH what we were doing for diapers while on vacation in August...I asked, "So...are we using sposies on the trip?" he said, "Why? My mom has a washer." Oh, I was thinking we would "have to" use sposies for sure...woo hoo!
So we too will be trying out c/d on a trip...although I suspect he just wants to show off the dipes I sewed!
